FOCUS Hike4Life Winter 2009, Uganda

For our latest Hike4Life event, FOCUS visited Uganda to climb two mountains: Mt. Elgon (4321m) and Mt. Kaddam (3068m). This was a challenging climbing expedition for our participants from Europe, Canada and USA, to summit two remarkable mountains in Eastern Uganda. Each of the mountains is spectacularly beautiful but they differ substantially in terms of geology, culture and history. To see photos, vides and links from the Winter 2009 hike, please click here.

Focus Humanitarian Assistance is an international group of agencies established in Europe, North America and South Asia to complement the provision of emergency relief, principally in the developing world. As part of its annual fundraising endeavours, for the last few years, FOCUS has organised a series of challenge events, involving hiking or cycling in various parts of the world.
