This was the first event and involved 65 cyclists riding along the River Nile, from Luxor to Aswan, in Egypt.
Mohamed Nasser was nearing 60 when he took part in the BikeForAid event.
"It was one of the highlights of my life. It was physically very demanding; cycling into the desert in the hot sunshine with the sand blowing into your eyes. You had to have mental strength to keep going but it was a fantastic country and the group gelled in an excellent way. I cannot describe how fantastic the experience was, the only way to truly realise that is to go through it yourself."
